In the beginning.

  • In the beginning, there was art. Art was drawn on cave walls and in the sand. Sculpted in stone and wood. For me, the beginnings of art began with the whimsical play for adventure. As a child, I would stretch out on giant sheets of newsprint paper that my parents got from the local newspaper factory. I would then draw large depictions of animals, tree forts, cowboys and space ships depicting stories that absorbed my attention for hours. Today, I still enjoy this exploration with what I call an “adventurous imagination” because with my imaginings, I like to explore hidden worlds of my own creation, worlds that I could get lost in, worlds of adventure and fun.
